Filling out my questionnaire is a great first step.  Before you talk to anybody about creating your website for you, you should to be able to let them know what your needs and expectations are in a clear and concise manner. The questions you see listed below will help you get started, but you should download the full PDF document for the entire document, and you can type your answers right in.   1. Who are you?
  2. What do you do?
  3. Who are you trying to reach? What is your target audience?
  4. Why do you do it? What is the need for your product or service?  Why do you do what you do, and not something completely different?
  5. When do you do it?  Are you a seasonal business? What are your peak and off-peak seasons?
  6. Where do you offer these products or services?  Are you limited to a particular geographic region? What is your target demographic area?
  7. How do you do it?  Is your way better than a competitor's? What is it that makes you stand out?
  8. Who are your main competitors?

What else to keep in mind:

1) Your artwork

Before you proceed with your website, note any existing images you would like to use. If you have digital photos, a logo, existing marketing materials, try to collect those as soon as possible.  Images should be provided as .jpg or .gif, and should be at web resolution (72 dpi). If you have digital files of existing marketing materials (e.g. a PDF of your existing brochure), it is helpful to supply those to your designer for a visual reference.

2) E-commerce
